Weekend Foodie - Super Burger

This girl right here is certainly not your typical kitchen princess but these days I’m wondering who lit the Bree van de Kamp inside of me. So I decided to share my first recipe with you, a super burger with oven baked wedge fries, the ideal weekend food. It is very simple and easy to make, great for kids and meat lovers.

This is what you will need for the burger:
- 100 gr of ground beef or steak (optional)
- ½ cup of milk
- 1 slice of white bread
- 2 tbsp of Adobo
- a pinch of black pepper
- ¼ tomato
- ¼ bell pepper, minced
- 1 small (red) onion
- 2 tbsp of minced leek
- ½ cup bread crumbs
- 1 egg
- 2 Italian buns
- arugula and lettuce

For the Sauce:
- Mayonnaise
- Paprika powder
- Ketchup
- ½ Madame Jeanette pepper, minced

For the Oven baked wedge fries:
- 2 tbsp of badia all seasoning
- 3 tbsp of vegetable oil
- 2 tbsp of rosemary leaves
- Potatoes

Recipe Directions burger:
Soak the bread slice in the milk and mix well. Chop half of the red onion for the burger patty (the other half will be used in the burger sandwich). Into a bowl throw the ground beef, adobo, pepper, minced vegetables and mix well. Add the soaked bread along with the egg into the bowl, mix well.
Tip: Make sure your hands and nails are thoroughly washed and cleansed. When it’s all mixed together, form into two burger patties. Sprinkle some breadcrumbs to keep them together.
Add the vegetable oil into the pan and fry the patties at medium heat, until medium brown. Later you are going to place them in the oven for 15 minutes to make sure the are thoroughly cooked.

Oven baked wedge fries:
Preheat the oven at 250 degrees for 5 minutes.
Cut the potatoes into medium wedges, click here for instructions on how to cut wedges.
Season them with the badia, rosemary leaves and pour the vegetable oil over them. Bake the wedges for 45 minutes at 220 degrees until golden brown. Place the fried burger patties for 15 min along with the wedges.

Sauce and serving:
Mix the ketchup, mayonnaise, paprika powder and minced pepper together. Spread it over the italian buns.Place some arugula leaves and lettuce, sliced red onions and sliced tomato on the buns and serve the burger with the wedge fries.

Enjoy your meal!
