Nature inspired

Retro vibe:

It's Friday dolls, and most of us have plans to make it a fashionable night out. So why not get inspired on this beautiful sunshiny day?
Nature's got music for those who really want to listen. Designer houses such as Preen, Phillip Lim and Arden sure heard the beautiful melodies of nature's way for Spring/Summer '13.
For this look I was inspired by the currently trending nature inspired graphic designs portrayed by the above mentioned talented designers.
The dress; which bright colors also gave me a late '70/early '80 retro vibe; is just right for a girl's night out. It's got that curve hugging silhouette, perfect length and a "peek-a-boo" open back. What I love the most about this dress is its fabric, it doesn't loosen around your curves, yet it's comfortable and very flexible.
I went all the way retro with the fluorescent lip color by MAC and the block heel wedges by Zara.

What are your thoughts?

City Travels

Antwerp when sunny:

It is not the first time that I have come to visit this historical West-European city. Yet summer has it's way of adorning Antwerp with much more charm. Many of the buildings and architectures, which are almost 3 centuries old, gave me an ancient Roman feel.
The sound of artists playing musical instruments filled every corner of the city, creating a vivid scenario. Antwerp has many tasteful snacks to offer, who can resist the smell of a freshly baked waffler topped with a generous dollop of home made cream...hmmm, delicious!
Shopping at this rising fashion city is quite a pleasant experience. All of the stores are neatly organized, which makes it easier to scan through the racks and find those one-of-a-kind pieces.
I have to say all of my senses where stimulated during this city trip.
I chose a simple wrapped dress with a very oriental print, kept the rest quite basic. This allows the dress to pop on its own.
